Porsche Files Trademark for "919" Porsche Files Trademark for "919"

With the debut of the 2013 Cayman still fresh, we've learned Stuttgart has filed the numerals as a "word mark" with the German Patent Office. But what, if anything, the company plans to do with the name is unclear. Eagle-eyed folks will note that it's a digit higher than the designation of Porsche's forthcoming hybrid halo car, and that raises some interesting possibilities. Might we eventually see some kind of uber-exclusive, track-only variant—à la Ferrari's FXX—emerge from Stuttgart's skunk works? Or a fire-breathing road car sans the green powertrain?
What do you think? Is this development much ado about nothing? Or a prelude to awesomeness?

If the 919 is going to be a 918 minus the hybrid bit, it's going to be one helluva machine!
It's just what everyone wanted. A high-strung race-derived V8 Porsche supercar without the batteries (which in turn will mean less weight)
Hope they give it with the 7-speed manual from the 991
