unfortunately i think we failed to get good RACE footage, most of it was beauty shots, low speed stuff. so lots of eye candy, but not as much hard action as i would have liked. i'll know for sure after the team has catalogued all the video. we were using a pair of full 4k resolution cams, so that's a LOT of media...

here's something I got off a GoPro though. camera car is a lightly tuned FGT which runs a Switzer P800 GTR close. we couldn't believe the outcome.

 

The McLaren is underrated.

Obviously this is from a celphone cam on the sidelines, and not one of the rigs we had there, but it does show a disparity between the MP4 and the 458 which were both stock.

* i'm not sure why the video makes the cars look like they're going so slow, but trust me they were both on it *

after this race, the two drivers swapped cars and tried each others cars, and the 458 owner couldn't get over how much faster the McLaren was.

am not hatin' on the 458... i can perfectly see why someone would prefer the Ferrari over the Mclaren. but it does seem that in a straight line at least, there's no contest (have confirmed this with three separate 458's).
