Arrow Next-generation Porsche 911 GT3-RS to get 450-hp

Porsche is getting to reveal a face-lifted version of its 911 later this year. AutoCar spies recently caught the next-generation version of the most extreme 911, the GT3 RS, testing at the Nurburgring. The updated and face-lifted 911 will be unveiled later this summer, while the next-generation GT3 RS will go on sale next year. Subtle styling changes have been made to the front and rear bumper. The 3.6 liter 6-cylinder engine is expected to produce an extra 40-hp than the current GT3 RS, bringing the total to more than 450-hp. The next-generation Porsche GT3 will also get Porsche’s new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifting. Other changes include LED brake lights and LED driving lights.

As we get ready for the face-lift GT3 let's pay our respects to the current one by watching the orig promo video!

I wonder if a traditional manual is still going to be available as a no-cost option like on the Gallardo SL, or if you can only get it with the 2-pedal manual tranny ala Ferrari CS/Scud.

I´ll second that. Would hate to see porsche "get rid" of their manual.

I doubt Porsche would do away with the manual tranny, that wouldn't be very Porsche-ish.

I want that vid in HD!

I didn't realize a new GT3 RS was coming. I might have to put my dealer's claim of "No markups" to the test...

GT3RS and 450hp, I'll have to say bye bye to a 997 TT if it was a GT3RS 09 model vs 997 TT Manual gearbox non ceramics 07-08.

That car does things to me that my prom date couldn't. Porsche has never made a more perfect car.
