ECB,
You should become Porsches Press officer...
...I´ll see what I can do for you..
But I warn you - I would send you nasty letters each time I wouldnt agree on something..
You dont know what people have been complaining about in Porsches..there were people who were sending letters to Porsche during 996 times arguing about the shape of the door lock switch in the console..colour, shape of it etc...
You would get an heart attack then ..and our "principal dicussion" would be calming factor for you...
PS: Why Porsche cannot build a car anmyore like the C-GT? Give us a 650HP V10, carbon monocoque, 6 speed manual, 1200Kg..thats what a supercar would be..
Would be interested what you would answer to that as "Press officer"..

Did see correctly that the exhaust pipes are on top of the engine. If thats the case I dont see how thats going to pass federal regulations. Blowing exhaust gases in to peoples faces can not be a good thing.

Yes. With a mid-engine and a 300/400K price tag....

+1
agree with both of you
but I guess the CGT and all its glory is so deeply rooted in peoples minds that Porsche might not want to risk coming up with a direct successor of it and dissapointing customers expectations in the end
Plus the times of racing derived combustion engines with large displacement in actual production cars may sadly have come to an end...

It was never formally announced but Matthias Müller did tell multiple press sources that they were planning a new supercar to slot between the 911 and 918.

Well Im not so sure anymore that this is really the case:
1. Baby boxster: officially been cancelled
2. Macan: iffically confirmed - with this Macan confirmation Porsche also said in the press that the Macan will be the only new Model range for Porsche..
The mid engined supercar hasnt maybe been mentioned directly...but I strongly suspect its "dead"..again - Porsche officialy said the Macan will the only new Model range.

With all the news being on the RS4.0, 991 & new boxster, the 918 has been out of the limelight. This vid is an excellent marketing tool to get everyone excited. The stance looks wide & aggressive & I think the 918 is going to be an amazing ride!
Can't wait to see more!
