True, but let's be honest here. I can't help but cringe a little inside when I think that a car so focused on pure driving experience will barely be driven and stored for most of its life. As you said, it's his car, he can do as he pleases, but...

I would suggest driving the first 3 to 500 miles or so in a short period of time, like maybe over a 2 month period (50 to 75 miles per week ought to get it done). Then have the oil changed and use it sparingly like the rest of the cars in your collection.

Make sure to bring the engine fully up to temp, and then run it hard and vary the RPMs as much as possible.

Put about 50,000 miles on it and then store it along with all of your great driving memories. It will be sufficiently broken in at that point.

My way is :

600 Miles
-No more than 4500-5000 rpm
-No long constant rev periods
-Oil change at 600 Miles
-Pedal to the METAL!!!!
