finally broke 12k miles on my 2, and to celebrate this event my tire shop recommended some stupid looking NT01 track tires, they are cheaper than PS2s and corsas, so why not.
But they look like they last 200 miles though. Tread wear rating is 100 which is about the same as corsas, so not too bad i guess.

these tires were much better than my almost steel belted PS2s of course, and they really stick and never slide on my 1st spirited drive with the crew. but since my fronts are nitto NT05s which are a little different than the new rear N01s, handling is a little wierd, they sometimes dont agree with each other, they dont sych perfectly, will change the fronts too in time.
but overall, good grip from these track tires.

and i love driving this machine! its so exciting and involving, nothing my fcars can ever give me! scared sh!tless and way more rewarding, and thats with no sound track too!

 

Thats a beautiful 2.. keep us posted on how you like the tires.. I'm in the market for new tires since I'll probably kill them in the next track day..

 

do it! they are cheap and the 100 rating is more than corsa's 60, at almost half the price.

 

They don't carry my size on tirerack.. will look into it
