I think the x pipe is mainly about good looks, nice sound and weight reduction. Top notch fit and finish, beautiful design.
key points are
-crossover design promotes improved exhaust gas scavenging effect
-aggressive motorsports tone
-handmade stainless steel construction
-large diameter dual tailpipes (can have them in stright or angled cut)
-ceramic coated satin black finish
-weighs only 8lbs

Here is some video from NOLA Motorsports Park from back on March 2-4, 2012. It was a NASA event, but the turn out was very, very low. It was the first NASA event at NOLA so the word was not out yet. No one to race, but the track was nice, the weather was good and the car ran sweet. BTW, I was using stock MSPC tires for each video.

This one is the roof cam. Again nothing special, but you do get a good look at the track. Sound quality was so so.
