That's just part of the allure I think. Rauh Welt translates to rough world, the exposed rivets seem like they fit in perfectly to the whole "rough" idea. My favorite part about these cars is that Nakai-San takes the purely functional aesthetic of the 993 GT2 to a whole different level.

That said, I have seen a couple pictures of his cars with fully molded in fenders, and they look good too.
