Completely agree with you initial impressions I felt the same regarding the noise, when you are above 80 you do need to raise your voice a little. I had my geo checked at about 800 miles, it runs a more agresive set up than the 3.8 more camber and less castor. Some of the settings were a little off once settled and i had a tad more camber put on, but still a fast road rather then full track setup (i run nearly 3 degrees on my 96 RS) to keep it road friendly and not knock out the inner edges on road. Mine is run in now and I took it round Silberstone GP circuit, the car does feel sharp, but does a lot more rear breaking than the 96RS, make sure you do a good cool down before coming in or the rears are hot!
Great car the 4.0 it needs more miles to fully loosen up a trip to Spa and the Ring next year and a few sunny winter miles should do the trick.
