Chuck. The car is an 08. We run a sealed engine w the exhaust she came with. I can't comment on the tires but we are really starting to make them work.

^Makes sense. Is it refreshed by Porsche with the new updates, or is it stock 08 and runs a diff class? I don't know much about IMSA classes or rules. Just know Randy Trice runs a 10 and they are better cars.

the 10/11 use the 3.8L engine like the street car... good for 30whp and around LR about 2-2.2 seconds from what it appears. We have something new for next season that will be a lot of fun!

Thank you for following along and sorry for the delays. There was rarely internet available and no cell service to post until I got into the shop today.

The weekend went well for us. When race 1 started Saturday, Mike did great. He worked his way through traffic with the Platinum cars (2010 and 2011) after starting P4. Mike passed P3 and got the position and then started chasing down P2. He was running lap times consistently faster and finally caught up to him. When he went to pass on the inside in turn one, P2 closed the door on Mike and they made contact causing both cars to spin and go off track.

Mike rebounded from the contact with only cosmetic damage and continued chasing down the field to catch up to P3. We caught up to the P3 car and then a caution came out with about 10 minutes to go. When the race went green again, Mike passed for P3 and held the position to the finish.

About 6 hours after race 1, we were on the grid to start race 2. Again, Mike would be starting in the 4th spot. This time, the gap between Mike and the car running 3rd was much smaller than in race 1 so it was a nice battle for the first part of the race.

On the first lap, Mike got right up behind the car running 3rd and was able to make the pass about 5 laps in. While the battle was going on for 3rd, the car in second was starting to put a bit of a gap to us. While Mike ran hard and drove smart, he caught up to P2 and ran faster lap times. As they rain nose to tail for about 10 laps, Mike was close enough to make the pass for second. When he was close enough, a full course yellow came out with 5 minutes remaining in the race, making it so we could not make the pass. We thought that maybe the field would go green for the last 2 laps, but we ended up finishing under caution in 3rd. We'll definitely take the podium finishes!!

Thank you to everyone here at Teamspeed, Porsche of Silver Spring and IBIZ World Class Wax for the support!!
