Autoblog article seems to mention that KERS will be used on all of the 991 range
Next-gen Porsche 911 to use KERS throughout entire model range — Autoblog
if true and while this is surely a very interesting development don't you think this would increase the attraction/value of the latest 997 generation as the best in the pre-hybrid range of cars? (at least for the purists!)

Yes, I think the 4.0 will be a very special car and worthy of the most exclusive collections. The only thing that can diminish its value and standing among Porsche's greatest products is if the 991 ends up being far better than anyone expects (time will tell).
