Porsche Swap Meet 2011 - Hershey, PA: Pictures

Today was the annual Porsche Swap Meet in the Hershey Park parking lot in PA. Also known as the largest annual Porsche gathering in the world.

The overcast sky made for some great pictures, enjoy!

On the drive down...

Gorgeous 965 3.6.

This was interesting... Last year I saw a brand new Guards Red GT3 RS at the dealer, and it was sitting on the lot for a while. One day it disappeared from the lot. In the concours parking lot, I saw this car and I immediately knew it was the same one after a one year absence! what a coincidence. (BTW, it one first in it's class)

A 356 C that has been coast to coast 15 times...

One of one in this color.

The 914s had the most color.

Just before we left a C2S Cab with that old school Targa style roof pulled in. It looks better in person, but looks heavy, and the windows don't fit well. It looked very high quality and almost OEM though.

Thanks for taking the time to view!

Good turnout even for poor weather, that Targa top roof on that cab is expensive!

The red GT3RS was awesome. I got there around 10 but didn't stay very long.

I saw that GT3 in the showroom last year when I was trying to decide between an Elise and Boxser S or Spyder. It's a gorgeous car!

And that's like a 10 minute drive from here, so every once in a while I'd take the long way home and gawk if I could see it.

^^ Here are some pictures I took at the dealer last year.

EDIT: Wait... The one we saw at the dealer had standard headlights and a black center console, the one at the meet had dynamic headlights and a red center console, yet he had a liscence plate frame that read Conshohocken on it. Also the one at the show had the little radio hump on the roof, the dealer one did not... Are there two almost identical cars from the same dealer, or are these mods?

That's okay, hopefully you can go next year. There was a Spyder there, however, and the owners name was John (another coincidence to add onto the Guards Red RS).
