Thats a lot of gold you need to strike, it'll cost you well over $ 1.3 million when the car hits Taiwan's shore..........

it will more than likely be an amazing car, probably better than anything out at the time.....but personally, i wouldnt. it all depends if you want the best automotive engineering has to offer and can appreciate it for just that or if you want that old raw driving experience. if it is the latter, i dont think the 918 spyder will deliver that, not to say it wont be a thrilling drive.

though seeing as how no one has driven it, we dont really know what it will be like. these are just our own personal opinions based on the limited information we have seen/read. personally i would take a cgt anyday of the week over it's upcoming replacement. it all comes down to personal opinion. i dont think you should be asking us whether or not YOU should get this car. it is a heap of money to spend and you cant base whether you buy it or not on if we would want it or not. your the one who will have to drive it.

like the CGT, enzo, f40 that came before......., they are asking for ur money NOW! nobody ever knows how these cars drive until years AFTER delivery!
i never driven a CGT till 5 years after the launch, and all the words written during those 5 years are way off after i drove mine.
buying something like a 918 not only takes ur house money, but u got to really love the marque. dont think anyone who paid cares how it drives? i know its not gonna suck, and thats good enough.
i just gotta come up with the dough.

I would get an older car, such as the likes of an F40.

If I was in the position to buy, I would pass.

Is it twice the car (price) the CGT is?

It'll be superb. If it's your only supercar, then I'd give it a miss... but this will not be your only supercar - it'll be complimenting an already superb stable. For that reason, if you can afford it, I would. It'll be completely different to anything Ferrari, Pagani, Aston, Lambo (etc) will do. Order a similar spec to your CGT and then just enjoy...
