Great news for me

It looks like Porsche did NOT, I repeat, did NOT get rid of any mounting points in the 997 for the rear seats.

Since selling the S4 Avant, I can now embark on quest of a 997 GT car that is also family friendly.

This is an awesome "mod" and contrary to what people told me about how you cannot do this in 997. People have done this in 996 all day long.

The Point is: is it legal? In Italy for example if a car is homologated for 2 you cannot load 3/4 people...

This will be a long process.

First the second one has to be front facing. That took baby scud less than a year, so probably early next year.

There doesn't appear to be a lot of supply of 997 GT3's, and the GT2's are more money than I am willing to spend.

You know the law for forward facing is at least 1 year and 20lbs right? Most now suggest keeping them rear facing until at least 2.

My son was tall enough by 8 months that he was able to rock himself with his legs locked in a forwrad/backward motion into the carseat. That in itself is super unsafe. Imagine if he had his legs locked while doing one of his rear seat pushing exercise and we got rear ended, where would his knees go?

There was no way to keep him rear facing back then, let alone by the time he was 2. Maybe people who suggest these have really small kids.

He's 2.5 years old (39lbs and 38 inches) and 4T are getting a little small on him.

It just depends on the kid.

Cool news, Andy. Thinking 3 or 2? .1? RS? Any ideas? Lots to choose from and it all seems to be within $85-130K!

SoCal is an unknown quantity at this point
Last time I checked, "thedude" still had his GT3 for sale, unless it went through already.

I like his car, but as the resident TS bright color car guy, it will be either orange or yellow (red is too over played as a bright color) when the time comes.

Found this picture of the GT2. And yes, that is a Dell computer that I had to drop off at a client's as an emergency.
