IDK on that. I'm a kool aid drinker to the end, but they will have hell selling it at $900k in the US. Especially 918 of them, when the GT2 RS appears to have better performance at 25% prox of the price. I hope the matching Turbo S is free. And, with the 2 RS already starting to drop in value with 500 units, how are they going to sell the Spyders? Does anyone really give a damn if it gets 100 mpg?

From EVO:
Porsche 918 Spyder deliveries will begin in November 2013, and if that sounds like a long time to wait, worry not: tick a box on the options list and you’ll get a Porsche 911 Turbo S Edition 918 Spyder (pictured right) delivered this summer as an interim car.
Tick a box and get an interim Turbo, now that's the best marketing I have ever seen!

carbon is an unknown quantity at this point
At that price, I'd much rather go for a Pagani Zonda, there is still a new one available in Japan, pity can't afford either. Thank god I've got my name on a GT3 RS LE.

I agree. Ferrari's marketing dept. could learn something from Porsche!

Way too much for that car. I would take a cgt all day over this. Then again even if it cost 400k I would take a cgt because I could care less about hybrid technology. At the 900k price point there is no way they sell 918 examples

@ dj. That is hilarious.

It's amazing the way they are milking the 911...
