The big difference is dealing with the non-linearity in the turbo-engine throttle response. You need to have it pointed where you want to go before you apply big throttle, much more so than the 3RS. Power delivery comes on with a ferocity that is both intoxicating and dangerous if not respected.
The 2RS also feel lighter on its feet. I can definitely tell it weighs less than the 3RS. Ultimate Track-Day Weapon indeed. Too bad it costs so goddamn much.
Haha, hardly! Just a gear-head that works hard to earn money for incredible boy's toys.
Seriously, it is paint and metal and rubber etc. And engineered for one thing- track domination. Price is the only thing keeping these cars off track, and track-day insurance is a way to deal with catastrophe. More cars suffer from problems from being babied and not driven.

"Break-in" is badly misunderstood by most car owners. Warm the engine bringing the oil to temp then drive it however you please. This makes a a car happy! This babying BS of holding under 2000 rpms for 10,000 miles or whatever KILLS cars. Nothing gets seated and the parts don't mate in and the car drinks oil and never makes its full power potential. All my cars get broken in if at all possible on track and they all run like sewing machines.
May I take advantage of the opportunity to say:
Guys and girls you only live once. At least in your current arrangement of atoms and molecules
Chase your dreams and work hard and smart and take calculated risks. You will never lay on your deathbed wishing, hoping, regretting a life not lived to its fullest. I have no formal education apart from trade-school and no trust fund and received no bail-out monies. Point being you determine your own success or failure, and it is up to you to achieve the success you are all capable of.I urge you to use the bodies and minds you have, forged from atoms born in the hearts of supernovae, to live with gusto and boldness and integrity. Follow your passions and live your dreams!
Oh and then come post a thread to tell us about fruits of your labors!

Pete, it is just admirable you are having such fun in a way that Porsche's are meant to be driven. The pictures and video look superb, a great sunny day, on track with some of the most fun cars and the people; what more can you ask?
Cheers my friend.

Here is a little video from the GP track in Nurburg. Cold tyres in the first lap...
The car feels so good on the track, and on the Ring the car feels so much faster than my "old" GT2. Turn in feels better than in the old car as well.
