Need Feedback on latest Radar/Laser Units - 'Passport 9500ci' vs K40's 'RL360'!

I am trying to choose between these two 'latest' Radar & Laser Protection systems for my '07 997.1: A) K40 Electronics' just released 'RL360'; or B) Escort's 'Passport 9500ci'. I would be interested in feedback (positive and/or negative) from those who have actually installed one of these 'latest' systems in their vehicles, but NOT the earlier versions of K40's or any previous Escort/Passport radar/laser systems, which are less sophisticated & offer less protection.

RL360 - NEW !! | K40 Electronics

Passport 9500ci - Radar Detectors | Laser Detectors | Radar & Laser Experts ESCORT Radar

For the past 15+ years, I have relied on Valentine One's (I have two sets!). However, it is my understanding (at least in California) that Laser is becoming the weapon of choice for both state and local law enforcement. So for the first time, I am considering installing a Laser Protection, or Laser Defense, system hardwired to my car. A local (reputable) auto stereo shop I know well offers professional installations of the latest K40 'RL360', as well as of the existing 'Passport 9500ci'. Price for the complete installation is around $2,500 for the K40 'RL360' and perhaps slightly less for the Passport 9500ci. Both installations include radar detector & laser defusers, interior displays, etc, plus labor. Yes, it is pricey...but so are speeding tickets and hikes on your insurance rates.

I also understand that there is a new law in California which prohibits having a device with suction cups on the windshield (e.g. my existing Valentine One) which might obstruct vision. This could result in being stopped, warned or ticketed. Thanks in advance for your feedback on the desirability of one or the other system, especially in regards to Laser Protection/Defense. z356

I have the 9500 on my Cayenne GTS, and had one in my Turbo, and my M3. I have had several occasions when the laser diffusers had the cops visually confused looking at their guns. Its awesome, and it DOES work.

The radar aspect has been well discussed. I prefer the 9500ci for radar.

Neither is a credible solution for laser jamming. For that Laser Interceptor is by far the best, Blinder is second, and the rest are useless.
