Premier 2011 GT2 RS Full Satin Guard Wrap + Moar!
#46
Again, we wrapped this 2011 GT2 RS in original GT Silver with Satin Guard™. How does this product compare to others on the market? FAQ below:
Q: How do you maintain it?
A: There is a specialized cleaner and soap solution, both which are inexpensive. Regular car wash soap works, but tends to leave oily streaks. The wash soap and cleaner works much better as it is designed to clean the pores of Satin Guard™
Q: Does it scratch like paint?
A: In short, no it does not swirl like paint. The product does have extensive protective capabilities like clear bra. However, it can be damaged like any film on the market
Q: I've heard of other satin vinyls. How does this compare?
A: Satin Guard™ is 2-3 times thicker than the various iterations of "satin" vinyl and films on the market.
Q: Will it damage the paint if I have to remove it?
A: If it is OEM paint, applying Satin Guard™ is fine. However, with aftermarket paint, it is possible that the paint would lift with poorer paint jobs (MAACO, Earl Scheib, etc....to name a couple).
Q: How much to have it installed?
A: Satin Guard™ is a highly customized application. It is a requirement for both Satin Guard™ and Clear Bra apps to have any new customers set up an appointment for consultation to obtain a quote.
Q: I'm not local to you. Would I be able to purchase the film from you?
A: Yes. As a matter of fact, we are already selling / shipping the film out stateside and globally. You would need to source out an excellent paint protection film installer for this.
Q: Can my local vinyl guy do this?
A: This is a highly skilled craft. To get it to the level in our photos, it is most unlikely you would be able to locate an installer that would be able to replicate the install 100%. Comes down to your needs and standards. With vinyl installers, especially if that is their core business, Satin Guard™ and clear bra installs are quite different. Search for a professional clear bra installer to obtain better results

Just to make sure everyone understands, that not all installs are equal. Clear bra or Satin Guard (different from the various satin wraps on the market), the results shot by our company are not representative of all installers. Just because a company says they can perform "custom" installs does not mean that it would look like the photos shown in this thread. Due diligence is needed to ensure a quality install. Best thing to do, is to take a look at completed work on a vehicle.
On that note, here are more photos:
