The stock shape tends to produce lift. Look at all the older high-hp factory racecars like the 935s, the backs are all boxed up like that.

It's built for a proper purpose. It's on the opposite end of the spectrum of, say, chrome wheels. And for that, I loooove it! Even the licorice bars on the front bumper.
