I think the point jox is making is not only the number of "special/limited edition" cars - which really blend into the same category in my opinion - is also that Porsche's production had steadily been climbing for several years up to 2009. That did not help their situation when the economy went sour, hence massive incentives. The 997 is an amazing car, but they produced far too many.

997's I love to death but wtf. 21 variants of anything have gone over the top a bit. I originally bought my gt3rs back in 07 because the rear end looked way better to me than a standard gt3. I guess 2" does matter.....Jox don't let those women tell you otherwise
but today it blows my mind all the stuff that's been made. Sport Classic, Speedster they differ from the norm which is cool. Holy crap though a GT2RS, because the GT2 wasn't already bad-ass enough. Sheesh!
