Is there a replacement due anytime soon? Its been 4 years since the last model rolled off the lines and I've heard almost zero talk about a replacement. Did did I miss something? Are we not getting any successors to the CGT?

 

Yes, you missed one of the top-news in automotive world this year. 918 will be new halo car from Porsche and it is coming as the production version in two years time.

Yup the 918 will replace it in 2012. Next year, however, Porsche will be publicly testing it at the 24 hours of the Nurburgring, much like how the LFA was raced. Here is a render I made a while back of the '918 RSR'. It says '13 because I made these before Porsche revealed that they would race it in '11. The original intention was for a GT1 racer, but it evolved to a Ring Racer.
