Hi guys,

Today we had a drive to Al Aqqah in Fujairah. The starting point was the Porsche Middle East HQ at 9:30 am. I was amazed by the number of GT3s that showed up. Had breakfast there and after a small presentation about the hybrid technology we fired our engines. We took twisty roads which were amazing to the Le Meredian Al Aqqah were we had lunch there. Bottom line, I'm lucky to be a member of Porsche Club UAE.

Awesome thread! What are those cars under the sheets at the starting point? One looks like a 911 GT1.

Those cars are to be shown at the official testing of the 2011 cup at Dubai Autodrome. They were brought from Porsche Museum.

As far as I know there's a GT1, 917 and 936 Le Mans. Will post more pics if I made it to the event at Nov 2nd.

Did you make it to Al Maidan hotel for sheisha? I was exhausted when we reached Dubai so I called it and drove home. We had a great day yesterday!

 

I just went up to the rooftop to have a look at the shish bar, which was very nice, and I went home. I was pretty tired as well but went home looking like this
