They are really difficult to get in and out, and if you are sharing it with your SO who isn't tall, she won't be able to drive it. The bucket seat is designed for a 5'10" and above person.
To be fair, they are great for your back on long trips (LA SFC for example), just a pain to live with if you DD the car.

I wouldn't want buckets in my semi-DD at all, personally. Total pain to get into. Nice once you're in, but it's funny that by the nature of the car it's not one you will likely drive long distances. Unless you're h20skier with the CGT.
Standard sport seats are more than supportive enough for me and I'd end up driving the car more often with them.

Um hum, I turned mine in with close to 40K miles on the clock, and did plenty of 400/500 mile drives in one leg.

^Truth. But did you LIKE the seats, or just tolerate them? Your first post implied the latter. (BTW- FOOD!!!!)
Green - totally agree. It seems like buckets are mostly forum pleasers. I like how TommySV got the standard 640 seats in his SV. Makes more sense IMO if you're going to drive it much.
