Post Porsche 911 GT2 RS Sold Out after Only a Few Months

Top Model on the Road to Success
Porsche 911 GT2 RS Sold Out after Only a Few Months

Stuttgart. The most powerful and high-performance road-going sports car in the history of the Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is not only fast on the road: all 500 units of the limited edition 911 GT2 RS were sold to customers within an extremely short amount of time. Presented at the Moscow Auto Salon on August 25th, this top model emphasizes the success story of the 911.

The Porsche 911 GT2 RS embodies what Porsche Intelligent Performance stands for. Despite the fact that its power has been enhanced by 90 HP, its fuel consumption and CO2 emissions have actually been reduced by about 5 percent compared to the 911 GT2, bringing them down to 11.9 l/100 km (NEDC) and 284 g/km, respectively. The highly-efficient, 3.6 liter six-cylinder boxer engine boosted by two turbochargers with variable turbine geometry (VTG), offers 620 HP and accelerates the high-performance sports car from zero to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds

I kind of figured they would all be sold. I wonder what resale will be on these?

They are going for around 18% over list here...

FYI
In our region the GT2RS was sold out before the marketing material got here...

What ? It really disgusts me that people only buy these cars to make a few quick bucks. They should chose their clients more carefully or add a clause to the contract, that whoever buys this car isn't allowed to resale within 1 year or smth like that.

My guy in Palm Beach has 2 "build dates" (is that the right term?) for sale. Any thoughts on that?

I hear you but with only around 12 allocated to GCC and demand being much higher... the "used" car showrooms went to Europe to secure their stock and brought them here for the 18+ percentage

So you're saying the cars weren't actually bought by somebody who drove it for 2 days and then sold it to make some money, but the dealerships imported them from europe to sell them with a surcharge ?

I think in that case it's ok. I just don't want these cars, which mark the pinnacle of automotive engineering, to be treated like whores
