Advice on used 997.2 GT3 RS
I was thinking of going for the 2010 RS at Danbury Porsche in CT. It has 1,300miles. Anyone know anything about this car? Clean car fax but I'd figure I'd ask you guys first.

Sorry no knowledge of this car, and whether that is a good price or not. Great spec. The car itself is okay I guess.
Good luck with the purchase and it would make a great addition to your already awesome stable.

Reported Sold
The owner of this .2 RS reported it sold this morning on Rennlist. Buyer was another Rennlister. This is the same car listed by Weeks/Danbury Porsche about two weeks ago. Owner purchased it new on June 1st from Town Porsche dealer in NJ. Overall a Clean PPI (no over-revs, no repaint, tires OK) done at Danbury Porsche. Clear no lien CT title in hand. Owner asked $132K firm on Rennlist yesterday and reported it sold today. Listed last by Weeks/Danbury at $143K. Started there at $145K. Advertised also in Cars.com. S4awd, I hope this info is of use...although a tad too late to help you with this car.

Really??? I went to the dealer and test drove it today. Interestingly enough, after driving the regular 2010 GT3, the RS felt a little bit loose compared to the std gt3 if you can believe it. Having the torque at the lower rpm is really noticeable on the std gt3 and the smaller tires makes the car feel tighter and nimbler around bends. I asked the rep if the RS was all marketing. He smiled and said no comment lol. It looks insane though especially in the gray. I guess the hunt goes on.

Thanks DJ but but thinking of doing a trade in so need one local and the Roslyn one doesn't have the decals which I think make the car. Also thanks Z356, that info was helpful. My gt3 has similar miles and the depreciation is similar so the delta would end up just being the difference in price of the car. Looking at the posts on Rennlist, the dealer would be making a good amount on this deal. They are assuming 20-23K in depreciation for my $125K gt3. Same amount on the higher dollar $161k RS. Not sure it that makes sense
As for the comparison, the RS does feel bigger. My only guess as to why it felt loose was maybe becuase the bigger tires weren't warm yet?? Still overall, the torque wasn't there as on the std GT3 so I had to rev higher which can be annoying on public roads. I was literally driving back to back. I drove 40 min via highway and smaller roads to the dealer, took the same roads back to the highway on the test drive and then confirmed my impressions, when I drove back home. I'll post more impressions later.
