Added Pics: Visited the Porsche Factory. Looked at 8 GT2 RS's
I spent a few hours at the Factory last Thurs. as part of a Treffen Tour. Looked at 8 GT2 RS's. 4 White, 1 Red, 3 Black and 1 GT Silver. Ended up being a good day. The close up and personal viewing cemented my color choices. GT Silver with Black Wheels for me. Also Solid Black interior. I just can't get myself into the Res Two tone. Red headliner killed it for me.
Also visited TechArt. They had one of their GT2 Street RS cars on the floor and two more in back. Very, very nice. The interiors are spectacular. Porsche could take a page out of TechArt's book as far as making colors work in a sports car. Subtle and classy, but still able to give the interior some pop.
Pics of the Alps in this post, other pics in my follow up post below. We drove Tops down all through the Alp. 65 degrees F with snow on the ground.

I'm still trying to get a Euro Delivery next Spring. If I can't pull that off, I'll do the US delivery event Feb 10-11th.
No pictures allowed anywhere in the Factory. I even got to see the new Speedster. But cell phones in holsters and all cameras locked up in lockers back at the Museum.
I do have pictures from TechArt. But I just landed a few hours ago. Need to unpack and get some sleep before work tomorrow.
It was an amazing ten 10 days.
Started out with a couple of days in Prague.
Then lots of 160mph+ driving on the Autobahn.
Amazing mountain driving through the snow covered Alps in Austria.
A couple of days in Salzberg.
A short visit to Wolfgang Porsches Home to meet the man himself. He has Porsche Sport Classic Number 1, parked in his driveway. We got a quick look at Ferndinand's Grave sight on the property, said thank you to Wolfgang and got back on our way. It was very nice of him to let us visit.
Remnants of Porsche Factory and a visit to the Porsche Museum in Gmund
Then the new Porsche Museum & Factory Tour in Stuttgart.
As a grand finale to the trip we attended the Octoberfest in Stuttgart last night. OMG!! The worlds biggest party. Too much fun.
