Just a suggestion: Stay with the Xenons. The weight difference to the "lightweight headlights" mainly comes from fluids, not hardware. If I remember correctly you save ca 1,5-2 kg on hardware, but lose all the benefits of xenons.

As for the first 1000 km, I will do two shakedown runs on the Autobahn, visiting my parents. Then it is time to run in the car on the track for another 1000 km; maybe I'll do it on the NS. After 2000 km suspension has settled and it can be set up optimized for track use.

My current GT3 is white (my 4th white car) and the black doesn't do it exotic justice... What color would you get, Mexico blue? Ideas?

Just keep it white! If you prefer a fancy apperance you can always resort to some kind of large race-car decals.
