My new 2001 GT2!

Had a couple friends call me up about a very low mileage gray market 2001 GT2 at the local dealer, I’ve been in a GT3 shopping mode lately but decided to have my friends check it out for me while I am in Germany. Once I saw the pictures and heard back about how gorgeous it was, I was in love, so here it is...my new 2001 (no typo) GT2! It is finishing up inspection and the funds are ready to be transferred. Will be keeping Blue as my daily destroyer, so the trick is to keep the GT2 stock...must...resist!

Congratulations, how much more is it in Germany. I think Porsche's over there are more expensive than second hand models in America. I think what you should do for the GT2 is get some titanium exhaust.

Actually the GT2 is in Denver, about an hour away from where I live. In Germany, German spec cars are less than in the US, US Spec cars in Germany are quite a bit more and take 6+ months to order. Insurance is another matter altogether, I was quoted 3x more than what I pay in the states, apparently Belgium, Netherlands and Italy would be 4-5x more.

The plan is to keep it as stock as possible, for now anyway, I do have some mod plans for my turbo and am selling my UMW2c, maybe the Europipe will find its way onto the GT2, but a Ti exhaust sounds like a hell of an idea as well.

Yes I noticed, I just wanted to know how much of a difference in price when you compare that U.S GT2 compared to a similar GT2 in Germany.

I love the 996! The GT2 looks really good. Try to keep it as stock as possible, I find stock 996 GT2's more appealing. An exhaust never hurts though.
