Season review 2007
The 15th season of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup was sure to be a thriller: More than 728 km of race track with eleven qualifying runs in ten countries were on the programme for 2007. Like last year, the starting signal fell in Bahrain and the cup was again won by British driver Richard Westbrook. However, the battle for the title remained undecided until the last race in Spa-Franchorchamps.
Thirty-two year-old Westbrook won his second title in succession thanks to his great consistency. He reached the top of the podium in Barcelona and Budapest. But in the eleven races of the season, he earned a podium spot eight times.
He steered his Porsche 911 GT3 Cup to two second and four third places.Westbrook moved to the top of the leader board in the third race at the Circuit de Catalunya and successfully defended his position until the end of the season.
Damien Faulkner from Ireland and Uwe Alzen from Betzdorf in Germany also won two races each. Both competitors followed closely at Richard Westbrook's heels and ensured that this year's championship remained thrilling to the very end. Thirty year-old Faulkner, champion of the Carrera Great Britain in 2006, finished the year in second place. He was followed by the experienced, forty year-old Porsche veteran Uwe Alzen in third place.
Top-class motor sport was also shown by the guest drivers, who followed an invitation by Porsche AG to drive the matt black VIP 911 with the starting number "88". The anniversary season of the world's fastest international manufacturer's cup saw Altfrid Heger, who wrote motor sport history as the first Supercup champion in 1993, the former Formula 1 driver Derek Warwick and the five-time Le Mans winner Frank Biela take their place behind the wheel of the 400 bhp racing car.

Season review 2006
The 14th season of the Porsche Michelin Supercup came up with some novelties. The first round took off on the Bahrain International Circuit and at the end Richard Westbrook won the championship as the first Englishman in the history of the fastest international one-make-cup.
The 31-year-old professional racer from London captured the title early at the tenth round on the circuit in Hockenheim. On his way to taking the Cup he earned four victories, two second placings as well as three podiums as third. The 2004 Carrera Cup Great Britain champion also secured his team Morellato Racing important points to win the constructors championship ahead of tolimit Motorsport.
Uwe Alzen took the podium also four times as a winner. At the final round in Monza the 39-year-old from Germany gained a special victory. With an average speed of 183.060 kph he drove the fastest race in the history of the Porsche Michelin Supercup, which since 1993 has run as support to the FIA Formula 1 World Championship.
Alzen finished the 2006 season
