Two sources familiar with the Spyder have told Bloomberg that the Carrera GT’s replacement will be priced at $630,000.

If it is 630k (totally possible), I seriously doubt they will sell 1000 cars (even if they have that much interest generated....a list is just that).

I know several car guys with the means....all have indicated a disinterest at that price despite indicating an official "initial interest" in the car fwiw.

Very capable car mind you....just a tad optimisitic in price

Great news! Only Porsche could pull off such a car as this! It has such potential to be a milestone in automotive history like the Veyron did.

This uber-high MPG rating serves as insurance for any future gas guzzlers they want to have in the line-up. That's what I'm looking forward too!!

Looking back at Porsche's past claims, when they say they are going to do something, well they do. I'm sure that after stating these huge claims, they have somehow achieved these already. Hell they are probably testing the car already. Nobody new about the CGT until Porsche wanted you to know.

I have the feeling though, that it won't live up to the oooo and ahh of a CGT.

they already have fully functional models. One was driven out in Gemany during the new Cayenne launch.
