A pleasant problem…

I have a friend that has a pleasant problem…
He asked me which such he go for; what might be the last of a breed (GT2RS) or the first of a new beginning (918)
Honestly I dono… the RS is limited to 500 and is a beast that cannot be compared to any other car etc... The 918 looks like where Porsche is heading with their new cars, it’s a super car unlike any other with a possible run of 2500 pieces etc..

What do you guys think? He wants to pick one and not both, so please through in your $0.02
Thanx

918 all day Hani. Its like getting a chance to buy the CGT when it first was introduced why wouldn't you? This car will be leaps and bounds ahead of anything else out there. Also from what I've heard Porsche is going to want like $300k for the GT2RS which seems a bit excessive even by their standards. On a side note, damn I wish I had problems like your friend lol. Would be nice.

The GT2 RS is a beast, but I voted 918.

Please keep in mind that the 918 will most likely be 2.5 times the price of the RS

2 Different cars. Really. The question is why should he chose one over the other? Both are highly unique, but uniquely Porsche.

The 918 he should be blessed to be able to buy. This car will be a very short run, and if he, or you can- he SHOULD buy one. At the very least, he could get over what he paid for it if he didn't like it.

2ndly; what does the GT2RS have that appeals to him? The car will be more than a handful to own. Amatures need not apply.

Regardless- if he can, get both. Both are as VERY different.

There's going to be 2,500 copies of the 918? Highly doubt that. I'm sure the production numbers will be very similar to the CGT.

918, because it will be an all around better car than the gt2rs.

I concur with a 'NO' on 2500 produced. They stopped at what, like 1226 of the Carrera GT? Look at the values now....barely find one, let alone one that isn't in the high $300's.

Is cost of ownership an issue? If so Porsche.
