GT3 questions...brakes and other sounds

i have the steel brakes on my 2010 gt3...they squeak loud, unless im braking hard...but normal day to day driving they are loud as hell...is this normal? i thought i remember reading on the 997.1 gt3 that the pccb squeak and the steel brakes dont. i had after market brembos on my m3 and didnt make any sound.

also...when driving and especially around turns on spirited driving i hear a almost like a ticking sound, repeatedly, think from the wheels ..seems louder when im turning...i.e. - right sweeper car leans left hear it more from left side.

The steel brake squeak is normal... mine do as well but not as badly as they did for the first few hundred miles. Having stated that, the squeak under normal driving now is intermittent and not overly loud.

I do not get the ticking sound. Maybe get the dealer to check it out.

PCCB don't squeak.
You can change to the less squeaking Turbo break pads but you will definitely loose performance.
Allways the same - more performance -> less comfort.

Sammy- they squeek b/c of rotor dust 'glazing' on the rotors. Go blast up the highway or some other road you can get some decent speed and JAM on the brakes. your wheels will be covered in dust and should alleviate the issue for a bit.

day to day stop and go is the worst for creating 'squeeling' brakes.

when i got the car, thats exactly what i did and they were quiet for a week then the noise started building up...i go on hard/fast drives weekly using the brakes hard figured that would clear them if anything...but gona take ur idea and go on highspeed brake runs. thanks

mine do the same thing. after performing the "bed in" procedure they are quiet for a while. then after some in town driving, the squeak returns. i think its the cars way of letting you know it belongs on the track.
