The consensus (of people of driving age) is....If I went with this car i`d need to be VERY careful.

 

BTW what im told is the car just had a oil change and a rear main seal replaced.

 

It would be worthwhile as it is such a low-miler, but just to as much research as you can, and talk to as many qualified people ( unassociated ) as you can.

New engine oil is good news. Consider doing the brake and tranny fluid as well.

Another thing to consider, the car may still be on its original tank of gas. I would have the fuel tank drained and take a look at what comes out. If it's got a thick, oil-like consistency, then you may have to flush the lines and injectors too.

To be completely honest, this car is best suited for a collector who isn't going to use it. Unless the color combo is unique or you just can't stand buying a car with 1500 to 2000 miles, I can't fathom why you would want to buy this particular car and start racking up the miles.

Whats the going rate for a undriven CGT? How often do they come up?

I`ll just add its amazing how sloooooow dealers are at getting back to people wanting to buy their cars.

Considering the price of what replacement parts and the cost to fix anything on a CGT. I would go ahead and take all the advice of ZAMIRZ and put it into action if you end up buying the car. It's always better to be on the safe side of things...

I've seen extremely low mileage CGT's go for anywhere in the realm of high 300k to 500k. Than again just because they are asking those prices does not mean they will get it.
