was/is this an option on the new RS? If so does anyone know how much weight savings?

It's about 70lbs isn't it?

Someone will post an accurate figure, but i would guess it to be around there.

The A/C delete option, deletes the following components:
1) A/C Compressor
2) Condensor (L&R)
3) Coolant tank/filter drier (receiver dryer)
4) Expansion valve
5) Evaporator Hoses

Those parts weight 26 lbs all together. Not sure if that weight includes the 4.4 lbs of refrigerant. As a reference, all the 996 GT3 A/C hardware weights 32 lbs and 37 lbs with refrigerant, however, the 996 GT3 had a bigger A/C compressor than the 997 GT3...

PCCB = 20kg/44lbs total saved
Aircon delete = 15kg/33lbs saved
Sport bucket seats = 14 kg/31lbs saved
Lithium-ion battery = 10.5kg/23lbs saved
Lightweight halogen headlights w/o headlight washing system = 6kg/13lbs saved
Audio system delete = 5kg/11lbs saved

Seems the porches ac is lighter than bow ac.
