If Mike can buy another CGT to play around with then more power to him, but I just can't imagine going through all that crap to find the car and get it registered and then just let it sit there.
So I'd say if you're going to let this one sit and appreciate you have got to buy another one, not that it's too much to ask for lol.

I agree with those who say dont' drive it. This is an epic piece of automotive history and in mint condition aswell. It will be worth a fortune in 15-20 years (not that you need it)
And please, for the sake of this thread, GIVE US MORE PICS !

Crazy talk all of you that are putting anything in his mind to just park it........All of you need your heads examined. It's a car. Drive it.
If this was CGT 0001 or CGT 0002 out of the factory I get it. A local collector has Ford GT #2 off the factory line from 2004 or 2005 and that car makes sense to park. He bought it at Pebble Beach as a charity car.
Drive the crap out of it Mike and don't regret it.

Certainly no expert on SA taxes, but usually you only pay the taxes if you register it. If you leave for example as a track toy or a museum piece that never hits the public road you dont need to pay taxes.
