Viper's driverwas playing it safe, he obviously had more power but it seems like he didn't push enough. At the final straight why would he step of the gas briefly, that straight is WOT untill the second corner following...

Porsche driver definately knew what he was doing, he made the best use of the traffic. He obviously has a lot of experinence at the Nürburgring !

I actually think the Porsche driver was holding back... did you see him go at the beginning of minute 3 and again at the end of that same minute?
Even on the long straight at minute 9 the Viper could not pass the GT3, only at the end of the vid did the Porsche allow the Viper through

the Viper was blue flagged on the straight, keep an eye on the far right end of the screen on 9:07. both drivers are good.

Great video, REP.

it seems like Viper's gearing made it unable to pull away from the gt3 on that straightaway.

Looks like the Viper was either being driven to "go fast, but don't break the car", or the driver was unfamiliar with the car or track. The Porsche pilot looked as though he didn't much care if he bounced it off of something.

Be that as it may, that's what racing should be.

Viper Driver was very cautious.

Almost lazy in his approach to overtaking. I would say that he hasn't had much experience in overtaking on a race track. Either that or he was intimidated by the Porsche driver.
