They are not the 997.1. The ones pictured are standard for the GT2 RS, but the cornering lights and lightweight lights are also an optional availability.

I can't help but to note the license plate. The Carrera GT set the benchmark fo Porsche, and it's press license plate was "S GO 612". That has been my favorite plate # for ever. "S GO" is always on Porsche press cars, and then they usually have 2 letters afterwards and then the internal model designation. The Carrera GT, however, didn't. Notice the GT2 RS's license plate, "S GO 620". Porsche is trying to show that the GT2 RS is the car that Porsche poured all 62 years of their hard work into this one car that it betters the Carrera GT... On paper it does... But in my mind, the 997.2 911 GT3 RS, 997.2 911 GT2 RS, and the Carrera GT are among the last true sports-cars for Porsche. I love the 918, but I don't think that that was what was intended from the start. The philosophy is all the basics you need, and nothing more... Look at all of the luxury and technologies now...
Aside from all of that the 911 GT2 RS is beautiful.
The new Porsche 911 GT2 RS. The last of it's kind.

In a solid color (inside and out) without the exposed CF bits and odd colored wheels, I think it'd be so hot. As it is though, it looks really tacky. Why on earth would you put gold wheels on a car without any other gold bits to balance it out? It works on the GT3 RS because of the badging on the side, but here, not so much.
