Just got a txt msg from a friend, a 997 GT2RS has now done a 7:11 lap on the Ring..
With telemetrie system in the car......

That's unbelievable. I had a feeling it could do better than what Porsche would typically say. What does this say for the 918?

You're starting to sound like me. I would question whether or not the 918 could even pull a 7:18 'ring time, let alone a 7:11, with the powertrain that was featured in the prototype. The 918 would have to be something truly special indeed to be faster than the GT2RS. That also applies to the upcoming 'hypercars' from Ferrari, Pagani, etc...
