Steel brakes are better for the track so it'd make sense if they were.

Better for extended track use I believe since they're cheaper to replace.. but the feel of the PCCB and their stopping power is up there.. I've been reading a lot of a PCCB to steel conversion for my GT2..

Yep, that's exactly my thought process. It'd be ok to use ceramics if you're the occasional track nut like me but it'd be much more cost efficient to switch to steel/iron rotors if you're a frequent track nut.

FI's aren't designed to be used with centerlocks. I personally prefer them but not for the 997.
