I mean that Porsche replaced wheel designs when they switched to the LED tails. And your car was the first I saw with the former wheels but the newer LEDs. The white 2 posted has the .1 wheels and .2 lights, thus like yours.

I can't tell if that white car is a GT2 with lots of RS parts (it says GT2, it has 5 lug wheels) or an actual 2RS with older wheels. Niether makes much sense.

 

Oh that's what you meant...thanks for clarifying that, Wyatt. I didn't even notice the wheels on that white one. I have a feeling that the owner did the same thing to this particular car that I did, just swapped out bits and pieces off a standard GT2.

 

One more question, (sorry if this has been asked before) does anyone know why some of the side mirrors on the 2rs are different, minority of them have the generation 1 997, and most of them are the newer ones? was it just simply a conversion, or did it come from the factory like that? Thanks.

 

It's probably because they used the gen 1 mirrors during the early pre-production models before switching over to the newer style as mandated by Euro specifications starting in 2009.

 

^^ You're probably right. I think the reason though is because the GT2 RS is technically a 997.1, with the 997.2 look. But that doesn't really matter as the GT2 RS is such a different car than the Carrera that it wouldn't benefit from the 997.2's improvements.

It´s a GT2 with RS parts and CG/RS Tuning, CTR IC´s etc...
