Great Vid, i'm actually amazed at how much slower the Z06 was. I wonder if something was wrong with it (the times just aren't right).
That said, the GT2 is an f'ing beast. I wouldn't be surprised if these things dyno around 480-490 rwhp

and im the last person to ever say this, but
that z06 wasnt running right.... something is wrong
the z06 is an amazingly fast machine
my car has over 600hp, and i BARELY, BARELY, pull on a z06... i have more hp and torque
btw the new gt2 is probably the best that porsche has to offer, and for sure i would imagine that it dynos around 480 to the wheels
and im the last person to ever say this, but

the gt2 has ALWAYS been a nuts car
i'de like to get with martin, and take a video for you guys to show you the difference..
ill bet money that my turbo has more power and torque than martins car, yet martin will pull on me like a freight train...

yep, Z06's have posted numerous low 8 second 0-100's
10 seconds is definitely WRONG

BTW it's believable , for those who have not driven a 996 GT2 they just don't understand. In the issue of Porsche Excellence where they had the GT2 buyers guide, they had some sick info.
Compared to a 996TT stock car, it was 36 seconds faster to 186 mph from a dead standstill and BACK TO ZERO, then it took the 996TT just to get to 186 MPH. Now you can see why it pulls so hard up top!
