Unlike the "Bild", the "Stuttgarter Zeitung" is a credible newspaper as I mentioned earlier. And in the present-day issue there was another article about Gemballa. Surprisingly a kidnapping wasn't mentioned at all. It said that the police released information about Gemballa travelling from dubai to south africa, (galadari confirmed that earlier).

But here is the news: Gemballa called his wife from south africa not long after his arrival and told her, to send him a high amount of money (not mentioned how much) because he had an "accident".

The main suspect is the unknown person Gemballa met at the airport when he arrived. The article says that the Gemballa family offers a reward of 10.000€ for information about this unknown person he met in south africa.

Maybe the "Stuttgarter Zeitung" will release their article on their website later. If they'll do so I'll post it here.

Oooh, I didn't know that. I saw the magazine all over the place both time I was there, so I guess it's just meatless pop.

That's what I was thinking, someone was fully aware of who he was before he even got there. Kidnappers and organized crime is on a completely different informational level than common street crime.

Hoping for the best.

 

The leading German newspaper "Die Welt" is now reporting Uwe Gemballa's kidnapping, reporting Bild.de as the source. They are not quite as direct as Bild but list some of the same details.

But they must feel there is real credibility or they would never run the story.

Sad to say that there is no official update on his condition or whereabouts.

All we can do is hope and pray.

 

My bet is he wanted to disappear

 

i highly doubt tht. why would a succesfull person like uwe gemballa want to disappear!

 

He adores his son and was too successful to pull something like a runner.

 

I called Johannesburg. The police are now treating this as an active kidnapping investigation.
