went in to then dealer, they wanted 17k JUST for the clutch.

called around found some good offers around 10k.
Took the clutch to my auto tech and source the parts back to the original manufacture and for about 1/5 of the cost they can refurbish it

Porsche used to sell only the clutch pack for 8k or so, but now you have to buy the entire thing for 17k, fock that!

looks like between the clutch plate cover missing from the PPI (DAMMIT!!) and the 04 design clutch lever it wore out faster than it should.
New clutch, new plate, and new clutch lever should make it a good long time till I need a new one
Which part exactly is the "clutch plate cover"? Do you have a picture of it? Does that need to be removed before you are able to measure the clutch?

Thanks.

You ain't kidding.

I had to replace my 2004 360 clutch a few weeks back. OUCH!

I can only imagine what a CGT clutch runs.

Exactly. I'll stop complaining about the $150 oil changes for my Crossfire...

I dont have a pic cause its not on the car

I had them order a new one, so Ill get a pic then

when the undertray is removed the little triangle area where you can take the clutch measurement is where the plate is suposed to be. You have to remove it to access the clutch to measure. From asking around though it really wouldnt have effected much. Seems the problem is the clutch release lever, especially being an early made car, boo

They seem pretty cool so far, we'll see how it turns out. Ive heard good and bad things about them.

Im thinking a few months back taking the car into them and letting one guy drive it and taking a few techs and salesmen on rides bought me some good will
my cars a ho
