There are 5 pins where the lug bolts would usually go in that engage the back of the wheel.

Question about centerlocks I've always wondered- How does the wheel lock onto the hub, are there groves in the back of the wheel that lock into the hub that match up? Surely it's not just a friction lock between the lock, wheel, and hub?

There are indications that HRE will make a centerlock monoblock wheel. We do not have an eta at this point.

Cool, that makes sense. How deep are these pins usually? Are they usually something like 14mm in diameter?

Yes about 14mm in diameter. The drive pins aren't very long, about 20mm or 3/4". Like the new avatar.
