Wheel/tire insurance

I'd say yes, but I didn't get it on my M3 and haven't needed it (knocking on wood as we speak). However, your car is in another league from mine. In the end its only a tiny percentage of what the car cost you and about a fourth or fifth of what a new set of wheels/tires would cost.
BTW Green, there was a white GT3 at the Urban Speed meet last Sunday, was that you? It was gone shortly after I arrived

Read the fine print on the policy. Most of the policies will not pay for a replacement tire once tread is below a certain level. That prevents people from putting nails in the tires when they are almost worn out so that they can get a new tire. Also, some have time limits on how old the tire can be and still be replaced. Also, don't count on getting a new rim because you bend one. Many policies will not buy you a new wheel if the tire will still seat well enough to hold air.
Keep in mind when people say to get the policy because it is a no brainer, that these companies would be out of business if everyone recouped more money than they paid for the policy, or even broke even.
