Pretty sure that number plate is used across their entire range. Look at their press shots.

They are swapping at the official press shots because the shooting takes only a couple of days and there's always a porsche employee with the car.
But the press cars (S - GO 50** series) remain with their license plate. These cars are given away to external people (magazines e.g.) so they ned to be registered officially.
