'10 997.2 GT3... adios C4S PDK
#22
As a fellow C4S PDK owner, I'm really curious to get your impressions after you've had the GT3 for a while. That is my plan too: C4S -> GT3.
As it won't be my only car, I don't think a GT3 will be "too firm" to be a weekend car. I'm looking forward to more reports...

As I get more used to the car I'll report in. My impressions so far is that I should have made the switch a long time ago! The car is a thrill to drive... loving it!

It's a long story which has led to an extensive discussion on another forum but in short its about my dissatisfaction with a C4S with PDK that I bought 3 months ago. I switched from a 997 TT to a 997.2 PDK and as much as I liked the car there was something missing... involvement with the car. For my purposes, my P car is a sports car and should be an event when I drive it, the PDK tranny didn't do it for me. I found it to be super quick but just not as involving as I would like it to be. I'm not going to be able to shift or go as quick as any P car is capable of but I want to have fun driving the car. The PDK'd 4S just didn't do it for me. Hence the move to a GT3. Hoorah!

The sticker is gone and the car goes in tomorrow for a nice detail and gets ready for its 450 mile trip to it's new home in TN.
