Uselessly over-enthusiastic geek. You're just playing a video game dude ... chill the *uck out.
Besides, he may have turned in a virtual quicker lap ... the winner is the one who put several laps in a GT2.

Oh, don't get me wrong I'm [] this close to getting a seat and steering wheel setup ... I just don't get that crazy.
Offer me a lap in a GT2 or a full year of Forza 24h/day ... I'll take the lap thank you very much.

Exactly what I'd do

Contrary to the 'real' Silverstone, the simulated track didn't look wet? That racing driver would've owned mr. geek if he had tidied up his lap a bit. Plus, I find it very hard to believe that the cars were so close together right up to the last corner and somehow the geek manages to turn in a 3 second quicker lap?!

Forza MS3 is quite a good simulator for practicing. Get a steering wheel, pedals & manual shift, drive the car from the driving seat view in the game, adjust the assists, TC, ABS etc & it gets very close to the real thing. Good practice & interesting to check out cars that havent been driven in real life. People could save a load of time trying out the cars in the game before checking out the real thing. After driving the GT2/GT3/RS in the game, I wont be swapping my GT3 for a GT2 anytime soon..
