Who would have thought that rednecks spray painting their cars in the backyard with a can of Krylon would have spawned such a fad in automotive coloring.

Josh, is it safe to say blame the Lamborghini Reventon for this fad?

I only posted these pics because I haven't seen a matte 997 GT3.2.

I think it looks great but I don't think I'll be repainting mine.

I'd probably credit Ruf for firing up this fad, or opening people's eyes to the possibility (depending on your perspective). The flat black and silver RT12s got a lot of attention a few years back.

Or European tuners with poor taste like Uwe Gemballa who brought it to the upscale european sports and exotic market.

LOL. I have to admit I've had that same feeling about matte finishes.
