The best 997 Turbo I've seen...win/win combo
#28
Thing is it is probably not a money issue, getting a turbo to look like that will probably cost similar to GT2 money..... the guy just probably likes the extra comfort and 4WD security.... I think it looks great but yeah the GT2 badge is a bit knobby, the TS badge look smuch better
This is the one time I will disagree with you. In the US, the price difference between a new GT2 and Turbo is still quite significant-- about $60K US from base MSRP to base MSRP.
Converting a Turbo to GT2 look costs nowhere close to that. Also, if you look at the rear exhaust tips, it really isn't the best knock-off job. Look at the way the tips are pointing straight out-- as opposed to the stock Akrapovic system that is angle cut, with the actual pipes pointing out to the side, at an angle.
By the way, can you PM me your contact info? I want to talk ICs and RS Tuning with you.
I also think you should share your tuning project experiences on this board, especially so that this board does not become ignorant and clueless like 6SpeedOnline.
We have the chance to turn this board into something great by contributing our knowledge base.

And by the way, other than snow or being a less than competent driver... I can't think of any good reason to take AWD over a GT2 RWD setup!
Porsche Motorsport REALLY got the 997 GT2 right. If dealers would give test drives on these things out prior to launching the car, it would have been declared one of the best, if not the best, 911 ever.
